Dr. Ann-Gelle Carter, MD, MS completed her graduate school training at Indiana University, followed by medical school training at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). During her undergraduate medical education she was very active in the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians and the University of Illinois at Chicago's Student National Medical Association.
Dr. Carter relocated to California in 2018 to pursue her residency training at Kaweah Health, where she served as Chief Resident Physician in the Department of Family Medicine from 2019-2021 and was very active in the California Academy of Family Physicians. Upon relocation to Georgia, her leadership and advocacy efforts have extended to ongoing service in the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians; as well as the National Medical Association. Her current scope of practice in family medicine includes obesity medicine, pediatric, adult, geriatric, and comprehensive women's health care.
