During my career , I have been specializing in high-risk obstetrics , infertility and general gynecology. I have delivered well over 3500 babies to date. My entire clinical experience has been directed towards acting as an advocate for the promotion of excellence in the provision of women’s healthcare. My clinical work has been directed towards the underserved population who has disproportionately been subject to what is now recognized as the effects of the social determinants of health. This population is the exact population that suffers from the increased numbers of maternal and infant morbidity and mortality that is now recognized as needing accelerated research towards improving outcomes. My clinical practice integrates clinical care along with the teaching of medical students and residents both in the specialties of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Family Practice. I have a special interest and extensive expertise in the care and management of high-risk obstetrical patients, incorporating quality- focused and evidence-based medicine towards improving outcomes.
