Dr. Chivon Stubbs is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and a Family Medicine physician practicing at Whitefoord Health Center in Edgewood. She completed medical school and residency at Morehouse School of Medicine. She completed her undergraduate education at Georgia State University and received a master's degree in Organizational Leadership and Biomedical Sciences from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine-Georgia Campus. She is very passionate about primary care in underserved populations and advancing health equity.
She has held several leadership positions including her current roles as Clinical Advisor for the Morehouse School of Medicine-Health Equity for All Lives (MSM-HEAL) student-run free clinic and Medical Director of Purple Hearts Emergency Medical Transport Service. She has supported several grant writing initiatives raising over 125,000 dollars for patient care and aided in expansion to three standing clinic locations and one mobile clinic.
She has also served on the Board of Directors of Georgia Academy of Family Physicians. Some of Dr. Stubbs's most notable achievements include American Heart Association Emerging Woman in Healthcare Awardee, Georgia Academy of Family Physicians Family Medicine Resident of the Year, Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Faculty for Tomorrow Scholar, MSM Family Medicine Residency Rising Star Award, Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award and the T. A. Sappington Award for excellence in Family Medicine.
Chivon currently resides in Atlanta with her husband and twin daughters. She enjoys cooking, bowling, roller skating, biking and exploring nature trails in her free time.
